The Society for the Documentation of Submerged Sites – SDSS – is an international non-profit organization founded in Italy in 1999. The organization's mission is to study, research, enhance, and protect the underwater historical, cultural, biological, and environmental heritage, and to foster, through its activities, the general public's interest in history, archaeology, and environmental protection, including through volunteer and citizen science initiatives.
