EUDI Show 2026 closes with a +4% increase over 2025

Eudi Show 2026 chiude con un +4% rispetto al 2025
Bologna, 22 February 2026 – The 31st edition of EUDI Show has come to a close with extraordinary results. From 20 to 22 February, Bologna became the international hub of diving.
The event recorded a +4% increase in visitors compared to 2025, and featured an unprecedented programme: 200 events over three days, of which 89% were sold out, confirming growing interest and active, high-quality participation. These figures bear witness to a vibrant, creative and enthusiastic community.
The pavilion hosted approximately 300 exhibitors over 3 days, nearly 20% of whom were international, reaffirming EUDI Show’s status as an International Trade Fair and a benchmark in Europe and beyond.
Each day was brought to life by a varied and comprehensive programme. A major highlight was the new initiative promoted by Assosub: the Masterclasses, which sold out at numerous sessions, delivering content of a high technical and scientific level. L’Angolo del Tecnico hosted wide-audience events with workshops and multidisciplinary sessions, while another Assosub innovation, the Photo Academy, offered open and well-attended lessons dedicated to underwater photography.
3D visors were on display at the exhibition stand of the Raggruppamento Subacquei ed Incursori Teseo Tesei – COMSUBIN, an initiative that allowed a large audience — including many young visitors — to enjoy an immersive, three-dimensional experience of typical operational scenarios involving Incursori and Palombari, such as diving, driving tactical off-road vehicles, and parachute jumping.
Among the many events featured in the trade fair calendar in which the Italian Navy took part, particularly notable were: the event starring Umberto Pelizzari and COMSUBIN operators, entitled “Umberto Pelizzari and the COMSUBIN of the Italian Navy. From the 1999 record at –150 m in variable ballast with the contribution of the Palombari and the specialist vessel Anteo, to the collaboration with the Schools Group for the training of future Incursori”; the 17th edition of the “Enzo e Rossana Maiorca Award”, with the participation of the COMSUBIN commander; and the presentation of the “Premio Sirena 2026” by HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association) to Rear Admiral Stefano Frumento.
A particularly significant moment was the presentation of the first EUDI Award for Marine Outreach, established by Assosub to honour those who distinguish themselves in the promotion and protection of aquatic ecosystems. The award was presented to brothers Andrea Spinelli and Marco Spinelli, recognised for their ability to combine scientific rigour with narrative power, transforming research and imagery into concrete tools for environmental awareness. The well-attended ceremony reinforced the central message of the event: diving as exploration, but also as responsibility and active commitment to the protection of the sea.
Among the new features was the debut of the 1st Sport Boat Show – Boating, Fishing & Diving Experience, a new thematic area dedicated to recreational boating, sport fishing and outdoor sea experiences. A strategic expansion that further enriched the offering, creating an experiential hub integrating technology, sustainability and passion.
With an ever-stronger community demonstrated by the overall success of its educational events, EUDI Show 2026 reaffirms its role as the European reference point for the diving sector.
An edition that successfully brought together: technological innovation, culture and training, environmental outreach, professional networking, and immersive experiences for the general public.
The next appointment is already set: 19 to 21 February 2027 at Bologna Fiere, with the goal of continuing to grow a community that does not merely experience the sea — but chooses, every day, to protect it.
